In the current context of deregulation of the short-term tourism rental activity in Greece, this report aims to:
– Provide an overview of existing legal frameworks applicable to short-term rental in a selection of European countries, with a focus on countries and/or destinations that are Greece’s key competitors,
– Highlight their differences with respect to regulations applicable to traditional tourism accommodation,
– Analyse the side effects of the development of the short-term rental market,
– Present some possible changes that may be expected in the European countries’ regulation framework.
